From my last min search in the area of munroe island, this was the only resort kind of place I could find. Will start with cons first 1. Too pricy for the kind of "resort" they are offering 2. Rooms are a bit small compared to similar priced hotels or resorts. We booked a standard room and suite room but standard room had the best view. 3. Bathrooms need exhaust fans aleast, it's too hot sometimes especially this summer. 4. Place needs a face lit Pros 1. Staff - female dominated staff was quite a surprise and approach was really professional and very helpful and always smiling and welcoming 2. It has only 9 rooms available and all the rooms are equipped with extra bed. Charges are as per double occupancy. For kids upto 12, Rs.500 extra 3. Pool - even though it's just 12.5 mts long and 4 feet depth, it is well maintained...most resort pools are so dirty after crowd but here even though pool was fully crowded since morning, we had a clear pool for a late evening swim. 4. Food - Complimentary breakfast is just a small spread but delicious, single cheffed kitchen never disappointed us in terms of taste. Lunch and dinner needs to be ordered atleast 45mins prior 5. Activities - they offer Shikara boat, canoeing , kayaking , BBQ nights etc...I would personally suggest go for early morning canoeing through the lake and river such a experience,we went with experienced guide Mr.Vijayan. Kayaking too, need to be careful only near the river side. Lake side close to resort it's not at all deep. Other activities we didn't try 6. Location - perfectly located at the meeting point of Ashthamudi lake and kallada river. Such a nice quite place. They have a pool, badminton court, fish farm etc all in 2 acres of land. Overall it was nice but bit needs lots of improvement.

Staf and service were very good, friendly and professional Very good chef in the kitchen, delicious food, try the Chemballi They also provide boating; we did the laketour with a shikara at sunrise and the canaltour by canoue at sunset Ann, Raf from Belgium

It is just to pricy for what the hotel is offering. I recommend staying at a homestay instead in this area. For exemplet they have a pool but no sunbeds or even chairs so you cannot really enjoy the pool. The breakfast and restaurant is mediocre at is best. The wifi is bad.

Fantastic location on the edge of Kallada river and Lake Ashtamudi facing the huge expanse of water right from the lawns and resort balcony. Rooms are basic but Munroe is really untouched, unexplored so it's among the best places there. Canoeing in the river and canals and Shikara ride truly memorable experience. Food and service were very good, especially Divya and Raji took good care of us. Overall a good couple of days spent with nature.

Very well placed in the Backwaters of Kerala and with friendly and smiling staff. Good breakfast, too. All people very extremely helpful and friendly. Outside for breakfast or dinner. Well place for relaxing!
